Hi there!

Firstly thank you so much for reading my blog post!

You are awesome!

Today we will discuss how you can make money from home by making and selling decadent home made chocolates.

Some interesting history about chocolate:

The history of chocolate began in Southern Mexico. Fermented beverages made from chocolate date back to 450 BC. The Aztecs believed that cacao seeds were the gift of Quetzalcoatl, the god of wisdom, and the seeds once had so much value that they were used as a form of currency. Originally prepared only as a drink, chocolate was served as a bitter liquid, mixed with spices or corn puree. It was believed to be an aphrodisiac and to give the drinker strength. Today, such drinks are also known as “Chilate” and are made by locals in the South of Mexico. After its arrival to Europe in the sixteenth century, sugar was added to it and it became popular throughout society, first among the ruling classes and then among the common people. In the 20th century, chocolate was considered essential in the rations of United States soldiers during war.

The word “chocolate” comes from the Classical Nahuatl word chocolātl, and entered the English language from the Spanish language.

(Thank you wikipedia)

Everyone that i know loves chocolate. (Well except for my best friend. She is Thai and she likes salty more then sweet and i think she is an alien for not liking chocolate ha ha)

Anyway This is one thing you can do from home that you know will bring in a nice income if yours are unique from other people selling chocolates.

My suggestion is do healthy chocolates and target people that still want to indulge but still want to do it the healthy way.

Buy some chocolate moulds and a food thermometer and you are on your way to a new business.

Try this recipe for delicious home made chocolate. There is also loads of other recipes you can find on the internet if you like to make chocolate that does not need a freezer to stay alive!

COCONUT OIL DARK CHOCOLATE

Prep time: 10 minutes

Vegetarian•Gluten Free

Makes 15 pieces

1 cup Cocoa Powder Organic

Half a cup Powered Sugar

Half a teaspoon sea salt

Half a teaspoon vanilla extract or flavor of choice.

1 cup Coconut oil Organic

Melt the coconut oil.

What works best is if you put a pot inside a pot with boiling water in the bottom pot.

It takes very little heat to melt coconut oil, and you do not want to overheat your chocolate, so keep a close eye on your temperature and, if possible, use a good chocolate or candy thermometer.

Once the oil is melted, stir in your sifted, powdered sugar and whisk until dissolved.

Then add in your cocoa powder and whisk until smooth and shiny.

Add vanilla or flavor extract of choice and a dash of salt, if desired.

Pour your mixture into your moulds and leave it in the freezer until it feels solid.

Please Note:

When you make chocolate or candy with coconut oil, it needs to be in a fridge or freezer all the time.

If you give your chocolate as a gift or selling it, make sure your let the receiver know that they should store their coconut oil chocolate in the fridge or freezer.
